Extinct Animals
As some of you might know, the idea of "extinction" wasn't created for an event which would occur in the future, there were already extinct animals and plants even before the invention of the word.
Here are some examples of extinct species that are known to man:
The Dinosaurs
This is an example of Mass Extinction, meaning a lot of species go extinct in a short amount of time. There were thousands of dinosaurs species, every species is different from the other. The extinction of the dinosaurs is still a mystery, some say that a large asteroid hit the Earth and some say it was a massive volcanic eruption that wiped them all.
The Dodo
The Dodo bird was a bird that was hunted by humans for its feathers and its delicious meat, that is the main reason for its extinction. The Dodo bird was considered extremely dumb because it didn't try to escape or protect itself from the hunters, and until this day, people still use the phrase: "dumb like a Dodo". So, people continued to hunt the "easy catch" until it disappeared completely from the world.
